Thai Trawlers to Bangladesh

In November 2007 the second of a two-vessel order was delivered from PSP Marine Co. Ltd. of Samut Sakohon Thailand to Marley Trade Fishing Ltd. of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The steel stern trawlers are 36 by 8.5 meters with a 3.5-meter molded depth. They have a gross tonnage of 292 tons and a 127-ton registered tonnage. The main engine on both the Longfin 1 and Longfin 2 is a Cummins KTA38 M1 generating 1000 HP at 1800 RPM. A pair of Cummins QSM11-powered 250 kW generators sets along with a Cummins-powered 25 kW gen set provides electrical power. On deck the trawl winch is powered by a 300 hp Hino diesel.
