Bergeron Acquires Bulk Material Transfer

The Bergeron Group has purchasd Bulk Material Transfer, Inc. (BMT), a long-time operator of dock intermodal bulkhandling facilities at the Chalmette Slip, mile post 90.5, on the Mississippi River.
"The excellent location and reputation of BMT will be an important addition to our metro New Orleans stevedoring operations," said William T. Bergeron, president.
The experienced workforce and seasoned management team will remain in place, said Bergeron. The purchase includes George E, a barge-mounted Lima 2400 Series pedestal-mounted crane suitable for stevedoring bulk cargo between vessels and barges or vessel and dock.
