Bollinger Promoted

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., has named Chris Bollinger as Executive Vice President of New Construction Division, according to Donald “Boysie” Bollinger, Chairman and CEO of the Lockport, La. headquartered shipbuilding and repair company.

Bollinger has been employed at Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. since 1993 and has held numerous managerial and leadership positions. He will continue his role on Bollinger Shipyard’s Board of Directors as well as serving as President of Bollinger/Incat USA (B/I), Bollinger High Speed Vessels (BHSV) and Chand, which are divisions of Bollinger Shipyards, Inc.

Mike Ellis, COO said “Chris’ experience with commercial customers and government agencies, as well as his skills in production management and knowledge of the company makes him the perfect candidate to lead New Construction. His leadership skills and ability to garner trust and support from the workforce will be a tremendous asset in our efforts to apply modern shipbuilding and manufacturing techniques down to the shop floor.”

Bollinger received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in 1993, and his Master of Science Degree in Business Administration from Nicholls State University in 1995.

He remains active in many professional and civic organizations. Bollinger is a Board member of the South Louisiana Economic Council, Nicholls State University Foundation, and the North Lafourche Conservation, Levee and Drainage District. He serves on the Executive committee of the Shipbuilders Council of America and Young Presidents Organization as well as a member of the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee.
