November 6, 2000
Application service provider BrightStar Information Technology Group Inc on Monday said it was selected by Science & Engineering Associates Inc (SEA) as a subcontractor in a recently awarded contract valued up to $850 million. The contract is with the U.S. Navy Information Technology Center, in New Orleans Louisiana and will be administered by GSA's Federal Technology Service. BrightStar is one of several team members that will provide consulting resources to the project over the next five years.
The award was made to SEA's wholly owned unit SEA Information Services Inc. using SEA's General Services Administration Schedule 70 Information Technology contract.
It will be incrementally funded over a five-year period and the result will be substantial savings that can be used to finance modernization needed to support U.S. national security objectives.
