U.S. Navy Ship to Visit Brunei

November 10, 2005

U.S. Navy ship "USN-HSV X1 Joint Venture" will be arriving at the Brunei-Muara Commercial Port on November 10, with Commander Thomas P Shaw in charge, says a recent Borneo Bulletin report. The ship's four-day visit to the country will focus primarily on extending excellent ties between the two countries. The US Navy and the US Army leased the US Navy vessel Joint Venture or HSV-X1 together in July 2001 for two years. The Navy was the first to test the ship's capabilities. Source: The Borneo Bulletin
