August 29, 2001

London based Telemarine launched version 7 of its renowned flagship website, Bunkerworld.com on August 24. Ben Peters, Technology Chief at Telemarine says: "V.7 demonstrates to our users for the first time the full depth of Bunkerworld. If there's anything we've left out, I'll be very surprised" The new version is the seventh version of the giant 11.000 page website to be rolled out since 1997. With continuous feedback on content and functionality from over 20.000 users, the site really has been designed by the market. Peters continues: "Re-thinking and re-working everything we do, all the time, is the only way to stay ahead in this game. People tire of the same old publications, and the same old out-of-date websites. Bunkerworld is updated throughout the day, every day, with fresh market information and news, which keeps our colleagues in the market coming back." The last year has been a tough one for business to business websites. Ben Peters concludes however: "I think people appreciate the staying power of Bunkerworld. We've been serving this market for 4 years now. We've seen people come and go leaving losses of millions in their wake. Version 7 of Bunkerworld is a real show of faith and thanks to the market which supports us."
