Diana Adds Capesize Dry Bulk Vessel

Diana Containerships Inc., through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has taken delivery of the m/v Hamburg, a 2009-built Post-Panamax container vessel of approximately 6,500 TEU capacity that the Company entered into an agreement to purchase in July 2015.

The Hamburg is chartered to MSC-Mediterranean Shipping Co. S.A., Geneva, at a net charter rate of $14,000 per day. 
Based on the existing time charterparty, the charterer has the option to redeliver the vessel at any time between January 13, 2016 and March 13, 2016.
Including the newly delivered Hamburg, Diana Containerships Inc.'s fleet currently consists of 14 container vessels (six Post-Panamax and eight Panamax).  
Diana Shipping Inc. is a holding company. The company is a provider of shipping transportation services. It specializes in the possession of dry bulk vessels. 
Its fleet includes about 40 dry bulk vessels, including 12 Capesize, two Newcastlemax, three Post Panamax, three Kamsarmax and 20 Panamax. It specializes in transporting dry bulk cargoes, including commodities, such as iron ore, coal, grain and other stuff along shipping routes around the world. 
The company owns, directly or indirectly, the subsidiary companies, which own the boats that contain its fleet. It holds an interest in Diana Containerships Inc., a provider of shipping transportation services through its possession of containerships, which owns and manages eleven container vessels, including four Post Panamax and seven Panamax
