New Type Bulk Carrier Enters Florida

The new Saga Voyager, a 29,872-gross-ton Oshiana open-type bulk carrier, recently began monthly service to Broward County’s Port Everglades. The ship delivers lumber (measured in board feet) to the South Florida seaport from Vancouver, British Columbia. The ship was delivered in December 2001 with a Hong Kong registry. It is 199.2 mlong, 30.5 m wide and has two gantry cranes and has a maximum draft of 11.823 m.
