Blue Giant Named in Ceremony

Blue Giant has a large free deck area that allows containing repair and maintenance workshops of equipment from oil platforms. Likewise, it counts on surface and saturation diving equipment and a retention area for carrying out maintenance and repair tasks in the atmospheric and submarine area of the platform, as well as for maintenance and repair of submarine pipes. The vessel counts on a folding hatch on the stern and is capable of sinking its deck under the sea level for working as a dock containing up to 130-meter length vessels. Thanks to its design and size, Blue Giant can equip prefabricated modules in which systems can be installed, for example, pipe laying. In addition, thanks to its dynamic positioning, it is ideal for developing this kind of work.

Blue Giant is expected to arrive on the Mexican coasts in October, and will provide the maintenance services to platforms, smaller vessels, and pipe laying.
