Two Ports Commence CSI Ops

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said that the Container Security Initiative (CSI) is becoming operational at the port of Laem Chaband, Thailand. The CBP issued a Second Press Release stating that CSI is becoming operational at the port of Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia. In both ports, CBP officials will work alongside their local counterparts to identify containers bound for the United States that need additional screening.
