Foreship BlueTech Ltd. is a company founded by Foreship Ltd. and key employees of BlueTech with Foreship Ltd. as the largest shareholder. BlueTech specializes in efficient and eco-friendly cargo ship standard designs, while all other business areas remain at Foreship Ltd.

Mr. Petri Hakulinen, former SVP of Business Development at Foreship Ltd. will head the new company, and Mr. Matti Huhtala and Mr. Pekka Jauhiainen will move to BlueTech, as Engineering Manager and Project Manager respectively.

Foreship BlueTech Ltd. has developed an efficient CSR bulk carrier series, called the Sea Dragon. The series is based on state-of-art hydrodynamics – including optimization with RANS-CFD - and the latest engine technology, which, according to the compamy, gives daily fuel consumption 30% below average current designs.

Datasheets of the designs are available for download at the BlueTech webpage. The series currently includes SD25, SD35, SD41, SD42, SD56 and SD64. For example, SD41 meets the EEDI Phase 3 (from January 2025 onwards) requirements with her daily consumption of 18.5 t at 14 knots service speed.
