UK Seeks Views on Ports Consultation Paper

The UK Department for Transport, Local Government and the Regions (DTLR) issued a News Release stating that it is seeking views on ways of identifying and assessing alternatives to proposed port developments and on how the government’s objectives for transport in terms of safety, economy, environment, integration and accessibility can be taken into account in the appraisal. In conjunction with the News Release, DTLR has issued its draft Project Appraisal Framework for Ports. Comments should be submitted by April 5, 2002.
