PCCI Awarded USACE Contract

PCCI, Inc., Alexandria, Va., was awarded a contract by the USACE Engineering Research & Development Center for the investigation and modeling of mooring forces, and the design of rapidly deployable mooring systems for floating breakwaters. This is the second contract awarded by the Army Corps to PCCI in this research area. PCCI has just completed Phase 1 for the development of a computer model specifically tailored for the dynamic analysis of moored floating breakwaters. The model was constructed using the Visual Orcaflex software package developed by Orcina Ltd. PCCI engineers use Orcaflex for ocean system modeling.
