New Navy Contract

BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $24,656,595 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-07-C-2200) for LPD 20 post shakedown availability tasks and acceleration of fleet required ship alterations. Work to be performed is for completion of government responsible deficiencies; correction of LPD 19 shock trial related deficiencies, class pipe hangers deficiencies, and FCT trials cards; and the acceleration of fleet required ship alterations such as upgrades to the SWAN GiGE Upgrades, MK46 Gun System Upgrade, HF-SAR, SSEE Inc E, Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS) and SLQ-32 ICAD. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Comm and, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
