BAE Systems Awarded 'USS Benfold' Repair Contract

BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair Inc., San Diego, Calif., has been awarded a $38,601,943 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee contract for work on DDG 65.

The contract is for the definitization of the USS Benfol (DDG 65) fiscal 2013 extended selected restricted availability

Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif.,and is expected to be completed by August 2014.

Fiscal 2013 Operation and Maintenance and Other Procurement, Navy funding in the amount of $38,601,943 will be obligated at time of award. 

Contract funds in the amount of $11,788,829 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
