BAE Systems Wins Navy Contract

BAE Systems Mayport, L.L.C., Jacksonville, Fla., is being awarded a $13,456,971 firm-fixed-price contract for repair work aboard the USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG 58). This contract is for the USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG 58) drydock selected  restricted availability, including drydock and topside maintenance repair work.Extensive coordination is required for the drydock evolution, in addition to the numerous systems onboard to be repaired. This contract includes options,  which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $16,248,342. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, Fla., and is expected to be completed by May 2012.Contract funds in the amount of $13,456.971 will expire at  the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with three proposals solicited and two offers received via the Federal Business Opportunities website. The Southeast Regional Maintenance Center, Jacksonville,  Fla., is the contracting activity (N40027-12-C-0007).
