SMI Wins PSA Contracts

Southwest Marine Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $7,037,865
cost-plus-award-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-03-C-2307)
for accomplishment of a Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) for the USS Pinckney (DDG 91). Specific efforts include: engineering and management in support of the PSA;
labor and procurement of material to correct government responsible deficiencies
and accomplish system upgrades; perform specified PSA work items inclusive of tests
and post repair sea trials; and manhours and material to complete emergent
repairs. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be
completed by April 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting
activity.
