ASRY Expands Technical Cooperation With SOLAS

February 10, 2014

ASRY (Arabian Shipbuilding & Repair Yard) says it is expanding its already extensive range of in-yard services in Bahrain by signing an important Service Agreement with Solas Marine Services Group.

The Agreement will allow Solas to build a 2,000-square-metre Service Centre for Life Boats, Life Rafts and Fire Fighting & Life Saving Appliances in ASRY. This is the first development in an initiative to increase ASRY’s technical resources, which will continue to roll out in 2014. ASRY is investing in more third-parties setting up in the yard, with a view to boosting its reputation as a one-stop solution for all marine repairs.

In other company news ASRY reports that another Zamil vessel was fully converted from AHTS to supply vessel with all design, engineering, and analysis handled in-house by the Consultancy services division.

Also, Mewis duct installations continued to be carried out with Bow Fagus receiving one as well as hull treatment and main engine overhaul.

The shipyard adds that KOTC’s relatively new delivery, Kazmiah III, also came in for a routine drydocking, and ASRY Consultancy carried out a Ballast Water Treatment System study.
