Keppel Corporation Elects Two Top Names To Board

Keppel Corporation Limited (KCL) has appointed Tony Chew Leong-Chee and Dr. Lee Tsao Yuan to its Board.

Both Chew and Dr. Lee are no strangers to the Keppel Group,as they were Directors of Keppel Capital Holdings before it was sold in August last year. Dr Lee still sits on the Board of Keppel FELS Energy & Infrastructure Ltd.

Chew is an agronomist, having obtained his professional qualification through a plantation cadetship with Ko Rubber Plantations in Malaysia and participation in the Serdang Agricultural College (Malaysia) extension program. He also co-founded Asia Resource Corporation Pte Ltd and is now Executive Chairman of the company, and is Chairman of Del Monte Pacific Ltd, Macondray Corporation Pte Ltd and Representations International Pte Ltd.

Dr. Lee is an Executive Director with the Skills Development Center Pte Ltd, a privately-owned Singapore based human resources development training and consultancy company.

An economist by training, Dr. Lee has extensive experience in public policy both in Singapore and internationally. She was with the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), a public policy think-tank, as Deputy Director (1990-1997), and Director (1997- November 2000). She also served as a Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore for two terms (1994-1996 and 1997-1999).
