Imtech Extends VSAT Coverage Above Europe

April 24, 2014

Imtech Marine expanded its Global Ku-band VSAT network with additional coverage above Europe. Next to the Telstar 12 satellite and the Intelsat 21, the Eutelsat 10A is added to the Imtech Marine Global VSAT Network.

With this extra beam Imtech Marine offers improved coverage for its customers in Europe. Especially the yachting market, where 24/7 connectivity via internet is a high requirement, will benefit from this extra beam. By offering three beams in Europe the chance that the antenna has blockage from obstacles on board of the vessel is substantially reduced and continuous internet access is secured. Of course, next to yachting, all other maritime users on Imtech Marine Global VSAT Ku-band network will benefit from this new beam.

The VSAT network of Imtech Marine provides reliable communication connections for crew, captain and other users on board. The extension of our VSAT coverage in combination with the Imtech Marine portfolio of value added services offers ship owners the possibility for a total connectivity solution. Imtech Marine’s broadband communication solution utilizes the iDirect Evolution platform and includes Service Level Agreements, 24/7 support and automatic beam switching.
