ART 80-32 Rotortug Delivered in Malta

RT Discovery, the first of the next generation Rotortugs, was delivered by Cheoy Lee Shipyards Ltd. to her new owner Elisabeth Ltd. in Malta. The new Robert Allan Ltd. designed 80 tons harbor/escort tug features the Rotortug propulsion configuration.

RT Discovery’s maneuverability and strength provide operators with maximum tugboat safety during operations and enhance the operational possibilities enormously, Rotortug said. The RT Discovery has a bollard pull of more than 86 tons and a maximum speed of 13.5 knots ahead and sailing astern, and has the capability of 7.5 knots sidestepping.
