Crowley Takes Delivery of Two Line Boats

Crowley Marine Services (CMS) has taken delivery of two new line boats for service in Valdez, Alaska. Roger G. and Gus E. will be deployed in Valdez and Prince William Sound to perform line-handling and other duties. The vessels were constructed at Rozema Boat Works in Mount Vernon, Wash. Each 44 ft. vessel is powered by two Caterpillar 3306B engines generating 470 hp, and feature Twin Disc 5091 reverse reduction gears. Both are built of all-welded steel construction with a model bow and square stern. An aluminum pilot house is located forward amidships with a towing "H" bitt aft of the house at the centerline.
