Colombo Dockyard Is Back In Business

July 26, 2000

Colombo Dockyard Ltd resumed operations on Wednesday after successful negotiations with unions following a week-long dispute. Colombo Dockyard was privatized in 1993 when the government sold a 51-percent stake to Japan's Onomichi Dockyard Co. Ltd.
