Comark Corporation, designer and manufacturer of custom computer solutions for the marine, military, industrial, and commercial markets, received type approval on their DuraMobile marine computer from the American Bureau of Ships (ABS).

The DuraMobile has been designed and tested to meet the requirements of IEC60945 and provides a cost effective solution for marine applications requiring a type-approved computer. The computer has no moving parts and is cooled using an aluminum heat sink instead of fans and supports 2 PCI slots. Processor options include Core 2 Mobile, up to 2.27 GHz, with RAM options up to 4GB.  Customers can have both compact flash and solid-state drives in the same chassis. Optional DVD/CD-RW drives and traditional hard drive options are available.  All electronics are conformal coated to protect against moisture.
