Eight-Band Rope Mop Skimmer

NRC Guardian demonstrates an Eight-Band Rope Mop Skimmer system. Rope is dragged through the spilled oil. During this process oil adheres to the rope fibers. Just like the old fashioned wringer washer machines, the rope is then run through a series of rollers which squeeze the oil out of the mop into a trough which is pumped into temporary storage containers.
