Electric Boat Awarded Contract

Electric Boat Corporation, Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $13.7m cost-plus-fixed-fee modification under previously awarded contract (N00024-04-C-2100) for consolidated design agent, planning yard, engineering and technical support for active nuclear submarines.The contract provides support for the design and installation aspects of shore support facilities.Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (94 percent); Bangor, Wash. (3 percent); and Kings Bay, Ga. (3 percent), and is expected to be completed by August 2007.Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
