January 27, 2009

Comark Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of custom computer solutions for the marine and military markets, expanded its portfolio of MIL qualified computer and display products with the availability of the EnduraShock™ 1900 Operator Interface Panel.

The EnduraShock 1900 is a bulkhead-mounted modular computer and display unit designed to meet military specifications. The display is a 250 NIT, 19” diagonal LCD. An optional 1000 NIT LED backlit LCD is available for sunlight readability. Both display options are available with resistive touchscreens. The computer portion is available with a range of processors from Intel Celeron M to Core 2 Duo and system memory up to 4 GB RAM. Mass storage options include solid-state flash, rotating hard drives, or both.

Networking can be configured as either MIL copper or dual fiber interfaces, up to Gigabit Ethernet. The enclosure is a hard mounted, low profile structure, which allows flexible cabling options from the top or bottom, ease of installation and service, and protection against falling water.

This EnduraShock 1900 is designed to meet MIL-901D for shock, MIL-167 for vibration, MIL-461E for emissions and MIL-810 for temperature and humidity. Final approval is expected in the spring of 2009. All electronics are conformal-coated to protect against corrosion.
