EBDG Adds Chief Engineer Position

Elliott Bay Design Group (EBDG) is pleased to announce that Jim Towers, P.E. has been promoted to Chief Engineer. As part of the firm's continual efforts to provide outstanding technical services, EBDG created the Chief Engineer position to enhance its processes for creating, reviewing, and working with technical documents. As Chief Engineer, Jim's role will have him working closely with EBDG Project Managers to establish the technical content of their projects and to provide a consistent approach to engineering. Jim has 30 years experience in vessel design and construction. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in the province of British Columbia, Canada, the state of Washington, and is a Registered Chartered Engineer in the United Kingdom. Jim's holds a B.S.C. with Upper 2nd Honors in Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture from Portsmouth Polytechnic, Portsmouth, U.K, and O.N.D. in Marine Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Southampton College of Technology, Southampton, U.K.
