China Conference on Offshore Engineering Coming Up

Offshore Engineering China Conference 2012 will launch on 25-26 September 2012 in Shanghai, China, organized by UBM

The conference aims at exploring the forefront of subsea exploration technology, and promoting trade exchanges and cooperation between business partners. All participants will have the opportunity to expand business relations and get a transparent interpretation of  future market trends.

The first day will discuss the development trend of oil and gas industry in the South China Sea, as well as offshore platform structure strategy; the second day will introduce subsea production technology, shipyard applications and future trends.

In 2011, global offshore engineering equipment orders amounted to 69 billion RMB, an increase of 130% on the previous year.

In May 2012, China's Ministry of Industry made it clear that China will step up efforts to grow the field of offshore engineering equipment, including high-end equipment manufacturing, and promote the change in concept of "Made in China" to "Created in China".

It is predicted that in 2015, Chinese mineral development equipment sales revenue will reach 200 billion RMB, accounting for 20% of the market share of theinternational market; in 2020, the sales revenue will reach 200 billion RMB, accounting for 35% of the international market.
