BMT Scientific Marine Services (BMT), a subsidiary of the international engineering, maritime and risk management consultancy, BMT Group Ltd has successfully obtained certification in the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety standards.

As part of the accreditation process, BMT introduced a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System earlier this year that demonstrates compliance with these internationally-recognized standards.

“Securing OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 certification underscores BMT’s commitment to create a safe working environment for our employees and our clients, as well as fulfilling our social responsibility to conduct energy-efficient and environmentally-conscious business practices,” said Tom Johnson, President of BMT Scientific Marine Services.

BMT’s certification was granted by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), following a rigorous audit. DNV also certified BMT Scientific Marine Services for ISO 9001:2008 compliance earlier this year.
