Scana Wins GofM Lift Frame Equipment Contract

Scana Industrier ASA subsidiary Scana Offshore Services signs a new contract for Motion Compensating Coiled Tubing Lift Frames.

Sweden's Scana Industrier ASA has, through its subsidiary Scana Offshore Services in Houston, Texas, entered into an agreement with a non-disclosed customer for delivery of Motion Compensating Coiled Tubing Lift Frame assemblies for use in the Gulf of Mexico. The contract value is approx. US$8-million and deliveries will take place in the 1st half of 2014.

The project will be lead by Scana Offshore Services with engineering support from Stingray Offshore Solutions LLC, a Houston based design and engineering company where Scana holds a 25% ownership.

Scana Offshore Services and Stingray Offshore Solutions say that they are aggressively pursuing a strong foothold in the U.S offshore lift frame market; with several new contracts for both Static and Motion Compensating units throughout the past 24 months. Scana Offshore Services strategy is focused on new products and services for the offshore oil and gas industry. New workshop facilities make it possible to provide the highest customer service, according to Scana Industrier CEO Rolf Roverud.
