SEATEC ‘08 Opens Doors to Port Equipment

September 24, 2007

Seatec, the international exhibition of technologies and subcontracting for boat and ship builders, due to be held in Marina di Carrara from February 7-9, 2008, opens its doors to port equipment, an expanding business with exciting new prospects. The sixth year of Seatec, the international exhibition of technologies and subcontracting for boat and ship builders will have many new features. The exhibition is growing in terms of exhibiting space and both the number of exhibitors and visitors from the industry. In addition, this year Seatec will be opening its doors to a new important branch of the Italian nautical industry, which is port equipment. “In a country like Italy whose coastline is over 8500 km long and where new marinas are being created and existing ports expanded to meet the increasing requirements of pleasure boat owners, there are new market opportunities for the port equipment branch of the industry” says Paris Mazzanti, CarraraFiere’s Managing Director. “In view of the excellent results obtained over the last years and considering the trend of increasing growth shown by the exhibition, Seatec is undoubtedly the ideal showcase for companies involved in the design, building and installation of port equipment – from floating piers to service columns, from overhead travelling cranes to port water purification systems”.
