Exemption from priority berth hire charges at Kandla

Kandla Port Trust has acceded to the request of the Fertlizer Companies/Fertilizer Association of India to exempt vessels arriving in Kandla carrying fertilizer cargo from the payment of priority berth hire charges specified at Note No.(7) of General Notes relating to Schedules 3.1 to 3.5 of the current Scale of Rates.

This is with a view to arrest the declining trend of fertilizer traffic, attraxct additional fertilizer traffic and bring down the cost of
fertilizer handling at the port.

This exemption shall be valid until 31 March 2015 and is effective from 23 May 2014.
