Goltens Worldwide today announced the opening of its new full service facility located within two miles from the Port of Houston. Following months of planning and machinery and equipment installation, Goltens full service repair facility is operational and ready to support customer requirements.

Predicated on a desire to be closer to the expanding customer base in the U.S. Gulf, Goltens Houston is an important component of the group’s strategy to move toward high demand, long-term growth oriented markets where Goltens can service a broader customer base, the company said.

The new location is focused on delivering Goltens’ core specialized diesel engine, in-situ machining and green technologies services portfolio. The facility has a broad range of large-scale workshop machining equipment to support reconditioning and overhaul operations, and a growing team of diesel engine service engineers and specialists that Goltens has become known for globally.

Leading the operation as General Manager for Goltens Houston is Mark Evans with more than 20 years of experience supporting the marine services industry, working in progressively higher technical management and executive positions within Wärtsilä and most recently Rolls-Royce Marine.
