Alfa Laval Adds Gulf Coast Facility

June 18, 2007

Alfa Tec Inc., a 14-year-old Seattle-based marine sales and service distributor, announced it will open a second location in Tampa, Florida, by June 2007. Alfa Tec was founded in 1993 as Alfa Laval Inc.'s exclusive distributor to the marine industry on the West Coast and in Alaska. Alfa Tec's sales and services currently cover the marine, power, fish-processing, food, thermal, industrial and oilfield markets. The second location will feature expanded service capabilities for centrifuges, watermakers, heat exchangers, oily water separators, Omnipure MSD Systems and pumps. The move came with the support of many customers who have done business with Alfa Tec on the West Coast over the past decade. These customers include KC Transportation, Crowley Marine, Holland America Lines, Seacoast LLC, and OSG.
