Recruiting hires reflect demand for talent in the oil and gas and maritime sectors, across the U.S. and globe

Faststream, an oil and gas and maritime recruiting and staffing services company, hired eight recruiters in its Houston and Fort Lauderdale offices to focus solely on placing talent within the oil and gas and maritime sectors, reflecting the market needs and industry demands for qualified, experienced and well-trained talent.

“The demand for talent in the oil and gas and maritime industries is nearing all-time highs,” said Eric Peters, U.S. managing director for Faststream. “As an industry-specific recruiting firm with deep global roots across the oil & gas and maritime sectors, Faststream is uniquely positioned to match employees and employers efficiently and under complete compliance with the law.”

The lack of readily available talent and increasing complexity of insurance and tax compliance for project and contract staff make it difficult for organizations to hire the people they need. By forming a strategic partnership with Faststream, organizations can grow their workforce – and in turn, Faststream must grow to meet the demands of its client base, the company said.

“Adding eight new team members in a single month is a huge testament not only to the industries’ need, but also to Faststream’s ability to provide everything our clients need, from specialty workers to proper insurance policies and more,” Peters said. “We seek to grow by another 25 percent in the U.S. by April 2015, especially as inquiries for the placement of offshore, supply yard and drilling crew staff increases.”

Faststream’s newest hires include:
•Shonda Cirotto – Houston
•Bradley Grace - Houston
•Criston Hall - Houston
•Sara Mione – Houston
•Brian Van Brunt – Houston
•Brendan Anzelone – Ft Lauderdale
•Rafael Ramirez – Ft Lauderdale
•Gregory Smith – Ft Lauderdale
