March 31, 2016

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) has ordered a second ultra-luxury cruise ship for its Regent Seven Seas Cruises brand from shipbuilder Fincantieri, in an agreement worth €422 million.
The new 54,000-gross-metric-ton and 223-meter-longt vessel, to be delivered in 2020, will be a sister ship to Seven Seas Explorer presently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente, Genoa.
According to the shipbuilder, the new cruise ship’s interiors will be particularly sophisticated, with particular attention to passenger comfort. The ship will include approximately 370 suites and will be built using the latest environmental protection technologies.
Fincantieri said the construction contract is effective immediately and all conditions have been met.
