October 27, 2020

Dream Cruises’ 150,695 gross ton megaship World Dream arrived in Singapore Sunday morning ahead of its November debut as the first cruise ship to restart service from the Lion City.

The skeleton crew of 187 on board have completed their 14-day quarantine on the cruise ship prior to arrival in Singapore, and they will undergo a further series of mandatory COVID-19 testing as stipulated by the local authorities and are required to test negative before signing-up for active duty.

The remainder of the ship's crew will join the ship while it undergoes thorough cleaning and sanitization prior to her inaugural “Super Seacation” sailings on November 6, to ensure the health and safety of all crew and passengers on board.

World Dream will offer short two- and three-day voyages for Singaporeans only, sailing at no more than 50% passenger capacity with no port calls in accordance with government guidelines.

Singapore will be the third Asian country to resume cruise operations following Taiwan and Japan. Royal Caribbean has said it will resume voyages from Singapore in December.

Prior to her arrival in Singapore, World Dream has been on hiatus in Rotterdam, the Netherlands after being taken out of service in early February.
