Coast Guard Foundation Appoints Brengle as New President

The Coast Guard Foundation has appointed Anne B. Brengle as president of the national nonprofit organization. With her strong background in nonprofit management, fundraising and capital campaigns, Brengle will lead the organization’s nationwide effort to increase public awareness and funding for programs benefiting the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard and Coast Guard Academy.

Anne Brengle has nearly three decades of experience in institutional advancement and management. Before being appointed president of the Coast Guard Foundation, Brengle served as president of the New Bedford Whaling Museum in Massachusetts from 1994 to 2007. While there, Brengle provided executive leadership and strategic direction for this organization, which has $24 million in net assets and an average operating budget of more than $4 million. Also noteworthy is her completion of a $12 million capital campaign for the organization in 2000.
