GasLog's LNG Pair to be Built at SHI with GTT Tank

January 17, 2019

Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) announced that it has received an order from the Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for the tank design of two LNG carriers, on behalf of the ship-owner Gaslog.

Each offering a capacity of 180,000 m3, the tanks will be fitted with the Mark III Flex+ containment system.

The vessels' delivery is expected for Q2 and Q3 of 2021 respectively, said GTT, an engineering company expert in containment systems with cryogenic membranes used to transport and store liquefied gas, in particular LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas).

Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, declared: "We are pleased to receive this new order from two long term partners, SHI and Gaslog, which confirms the success encountered by our latest Mark III technology evolution."

For over 50 years, GTT has been maintaining reliable relationships with all stakeholders of the gas industry (shipyards, shipowners, gas companies, terminal operators, classification societies).
