Hvide Marine Elects New General Counsel

December 5, 2000

Hvide Marine has appointed Alan R. Twaits as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary with responsibility for all legal activities of the company, its subsidiaries and affiliates. Twaits replaces Ronald J. Bjelland, who was appointed earlier this year and has since left the company due to health reasons.

He will also work to provide legal guidance to officers and all operating and service departments concerning contracts, financing, negotiation of agreements and dealings with government agencies.
