Dubai's Grandweld Shipyard to Build Zamil Crewboat

Grandweld Shipyards has been awarded a repeat order from Zamil Offshore, to build a new 33.5M fast aluminum crew boat.

This will be Zamil’s fourth order to Grandweld Shipyards after the successful delivery of three sister vessels in 2012.

The new vessel will be based on Grandweld’s in –house superior design, and will be powered by 3 high speed diesel engines driving 3 fixed pitch propellers to produce speeds in excess of 25 knots.

The 33.5M will be designed and built according to the classification rules and requirements of Bureau Veritas for Aluminum vessels. The vessel will be utilized to transport personnel and support offshore oil & gas operations.

According to the contract, the vessel is scheduled for delivery in June 2014.
