RoRo into Turku with Grounding Damage

The 13,145 grt Finnish owned ro-ro Global Freighter has drydocked for grounding damage inspection at Finland’s Turku Repair Yard in Naantali. The ro-ro grounded near Nauvo in the Turku Archipelago while on a charter to Sea Wind Line for a voyage between Turku, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden. The 1977-built vessel has been seriously holed below the waterline. It is not known yet weather permanent repairs will take place in Naantali or that the vessel will be towed to a cheaper repair location. The ro-ro is owned by Lillbaka Oy.
