Hanjin Sees 1999 Sales At $1.4B

South Korean shipbuilder Hanjin Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. said on Monday it expects to post sales of $1.4 billion for 1999 and a net profit of $84.3 million.
Officials said the company set its 2000 sales target at $1.8 billion and forecast a net profit of $44.4 million. A company spokesman said the company expects its net profit to decrease this year mainly due to the won's appreciation.
The company's overseas shipbuilding orders totaled $781 million and set a target of $870 million in orders this year.
