Hearing on Cruise Line Safety

Representative Christopher Shays (R-CT) issued a News Release stating that his Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats, and International Relations conducted a joint hearing with the Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Drug Policy, and Human Relations entitled International Maritime Security. The hearing focused on cruise ship safety and the jurisdictional issues that arise when passengers become victims of crime while on the high seas. Representative Shays also released the Briefing Memorandum addressing the purpose of the hearing and the Attachments provided to subcommittee members. Source: HK Law
