MTG Highlights Dredging Solutions at Europort

MTG, a Spanish company specializing in the design and production of wear parts for earthmoving machinery, has introduced its latest solutions for the dredging market at the Europort exhibition in Rotterdam.

According to MTG, its main innovation is DMet, a hammerless system that aims to improve productivity and increase protection of cutter and hopper dredgers, even in demanding applications such as hard rock. The MTG Systems DMet includes a hammerless locking technology, MTG Twist, which provides an added reliability and ease of use.

With a range of self-sharpening designed teeth with optional use of inserts and extra protection for the adapter, the system is designed to maximize the lifecycle of all its elements, maintaining the cutter-head operating for longer times and reducing maintenance costs, according to the developer.

Along with its patented DMet System, MTG provides solutions for a range of dredging equipment, including cutter dredgers, hopper dredgers, backhoes and clamshells, also offering products both proprietary and adaptable to the major systems on the market.
