Errant Barge Stops Highway Traffic

The U.S. Coast Guard stated that an errant barge struck the Route 50 highway bridge over the Severn River near Annapolis, Maryland and became wedged between two support pilings. The Coast Guard is coordinating removal of the barge. The police have halted traffic on the bridge until it has been determined that the bridge suffered no structural damage.
