Huntingford, Davenport Join Capilano Maritime

Capilano Maritime Design Ltd., a naval architecture design firm based in North Vancouver, BC, Canada announced that John Huntingford has recently joined the firm as Senior Structural Designer. Huntingford gained experience in the maritime industry as an Outfit Designer for Kvaerner Masa Marine where he worked on design projects for the State of Maine and Alaska, as well as patrol vessels for Australia. He graduated from the Landing School of Boat Building and Yacht Design in Maine, USA and has most recently worked as a Designer and Technical Liaison for Vancouver Shipyards Ltd. where he worked on many commercial work vessels including ferries, tugs and barges.

Capilano Maritime also announced that Tyler Davenport recently joined the firm as Project Mechanical Engineer. Davenport graduated from the Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering program at the University of British Columbia. He gained his experience in the maritime industry first as a Marine Mechanic for SeaCrest Marine Services Ltd., and then as a Marine Mechanical Engineer at Crescent Custom Yachts/Worldspan Marine here in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
