Indian Navy Orders Six Subs

A contract was signed in New Delhi for the construction of six Scorpene submarines, that will be built in Mazagon Dock Limited shipyards, in Mombay. The French-Spanish consortium will provide engineering, technical assistance, training and specific equipment, being Navantia responsible for the aft parts of the six submarines, as it is been done in other contracts as Chile and Malaysia.
The six subs are slated for delivery in 12 years.
