A&B Industries Signs Contract with Mitchell Offshore Marine

A&B Industries of Morgan City, La., has signed a contract with Mitchell Offshore Marine of Grapevine, Texas for the construction of an offshore supply vessel under Subchapter L. The owner and president of Mitchell Offshore Marine, Jeff Isel chose the design because of the changing needs of the oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico. The vessel will have a deck area of 80 ft. by 28 ft. (2,240 sq. ft.) with a 170 long ton deck load. The vessel has a Fuel Oil capacity of approximately 43,000 gallons and a water capacity of approximately 60,000 gallons.

Isel included in his package a Bow Thruster for safer mobility on location as required for field production work. Louisiana Machinery will furnish the main engines and gears consisting of two Caterpillar 3412 diesel engines and two 65 Kw generator sets.
